Listening To The Father’s Heart

There are times, my son, when I hide you away. Consider this to be such a season you are in right now. It is a lonely time and you question “why this?” at this stage of your life. But the hidden place is where I have taken many of my sons and daughters to do some of my deepest work. I had to send Elijah to the Brook at Cherith. I even had to feed him there. It is in such places that you come to experience a different kind of food and drink, not from your own hand, but from my hand alone. I provide for your needs and I give you water from my Spirit. Every son or daughter that would have influence over others must have a time of hiddenness in their “Cherith Ravine.” You perceive this as running into a ditch; I perceive it as running into my arms. Acquiring my power and grace is impossible unless you dwell for a time in my holy ravine, absorbing my strength and power. It is here I will give you provisions for yourself and for others. Do not despise your situation; embrace this time with me.

Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” 1 Kings 17:2-4
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3
