Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, it is hard for you to let me be your Father sometimes. You are still not totally convinced that I am 100% on your side and love you unconditionally. You often interpret your hardships as punishment from me. Can I remind you, son, that “every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (Ja 1:17). And consider that “if you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”(Mt 7:11).

Remember the 3 lies Satan wants you to believe?1) You are powerless over your circumstances2) You’re a victim of an unjust, unloving God, and you have no value
3)I left you here and do not care for your needs.

Sometimes you relate to me like a wary dog that has been abused and keeps its distance from its master. You cower, anticipating the next calamity, and you blame me for your fear. Son, let the walls down and let me love you. You are my precious son. I love you dearly. Allow my love to break through your protective barriers.

How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You. Psalms 139:17-18
