Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, when you abide in me, and my words abide in you, I will protect you against the enemy’s accusations. They may come to you, but I will shield you from their affect. His nature is to be an accuser of the brethren day and night (Rev 12:10). But I am your shield. The only way the enemy can affect you, son, is if you allow an open door of sin to reside in you. Only then does he have a legal right to break through my shield around you. Remember, whatever you uncover, I will cover the consequences. But whatever you seek to cover up, I will make it known and it will be more painful to recover from. The enemy of your soul does not give you any freedom to fail. He wants you to live in relentless bondage to performance and hiding behind your fig leaf. I would counsel you emphatically to keep short accounts with me; that is your safety. I do not require perfection, son. I ask you instead for transparency and a broken and contrite heart when you fall short (Ps 51; 1Jn 1:9).
I will love You, O LORD, my strength.The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18: 1-2
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17
