Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, sometimes I am so disappointed in the negative attitudes I see in my sons and daughters. My kids should be the most positive and joyful people on earth because of their heritage in me. Yet, many walk around day to day complaining about things that really do not matter. Your earth life is a mere drop in the bucket of time. My son Peter understood this when he wrote:”… but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy” (1 Pet 4:13). This is a different kind of joy that resides deep inside your soul. Peter felt my joy when he stopped to realize his time on earth was nothing to be compared to the glory he was going to experience one day. He had many trials in his life, but chose to experience my power that allowed him to access my joy. My sons and daughters have the same choice to see life through this lens.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Philippians 4:8
