Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, I want you to understand something about my ways. Many of my sons and daughters pray for those they love. Some ask for salvation for a loved one. Some ask for a restored relationship that is broken. There is one thing I cannot do. I cannot violate a son or daughter’s free will. I gave every one of my kids the power to choose. However, I CAN bring pressure upon these sons and daughters so that they are motivated to choose my way. Such was the case with my son Saul who became Paul. He could have chosen not to respond to my pressure. Prayer causes me to put plans into place that bring pressure upon those who are the target of those prayers. Prayer does make a difference. You must keep praying my son. It is not always a one-time prayer that causes me to move on your behalf (Lk 18:1-8). There are unseen forces that can hinder your prayers, forces that are defeated only by your persevering prayer. Stand firm, my son, and continue to battle for those who need deliverance. Your intercession on their behalf does make a difference. There are no guarantees when you are dealing with a person’s free will choice, but I desire to see my will for every life accomplished. Together, we can see many of your prayers answered.
