Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, I am teaching you to live in the inner court. In the olden days, I had my priests relate to me differently. They came to me through my tabernacle in three stages. First, there was the outer court, a place of public ministry to the people by my priests. This represents the place of public works where others see you and your ministry; it represents your body. Then came the holy place, hidden from the people behind the curtain. It was reserved for my priests only. This represents your soul — your mind, will and emotions. And finally, there was the holy of holies. This was the place where I resided. My priests would come before me only once a year to intercede for the people’s sins. This represents your spirit. I reside in your spirit when you accept my Son into your life. Your spirit is 100% pure because of my redemptive work. This is the reason you, like my priests of old, can now enter into the holy of holies where my presence resides. It is the place of intimacy with me. I have given you access to my presence through my son.

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19-22
