Listening to the Father’s Heart

Listening to the Father’s Heart

Evil can never thwart my purpose for you, my son. You know well the story of my son Joseph. You know that the evil one worked in his brothers to kill him, but I would not allow it. I had plans to use this calamity to turn the tables on the evil one and use Joseph to reveal my glory in the midst of his suffering. Do you recall how I blessed him throughout those trials? Blessing does not mean an absence of adversity. Satan meant it for evil; but I turned it all for good. Joseph’s thirteen years of preparation was for eighty years of rulership. Sometimes I must take my sons and daughters through difficult training for the assignment I have for them. Without that level of training, you would fail in your assignment.

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20
