Listening to the Father’s Heart

Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, there are two types of people in your world; those who live as sons and daughters and those who live as slaves and orphans. Those who choose to live as slaves or orphans lack an understanding of my love and influence in their lives. They believe it’s all up to them to make life work. Their dependence is upon themselves. These sons never experience their true purpose or their true destiny. But there are others who know me as their Father. These sons of mine tap into my resources no matter the conditions, because I am a God of unlimited supply. I have no limit. I am not affected by economic downturns. These sons have learned to cast their cares upon me. As they do, they excel even in the worst of times, because they know I am their provider. You have been learning to depend on me in these ways.

Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:5-8
