Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, I want you to understand how destruction can enter your life at points
where you open doors against my will. Do you recall the story of my sons Cain and Abel? Each made an offering to me. Abel made his offering from a heart of love, but Cain made his from a heart of obligation. When I told Cain his offering was not from his heart, he took this as rejection from me. I did not reject him; I rejected the attitude behind his offering. His response to my correction led to bitterness and resentment. This allowed sin in his heart to grow to the point of murder. I want you to understand the power of an open door to the enemy’s schemes. I was so saddened to lose two of my sons, one to murder, and one to sin. Beware, my son, of open doors that allow sin to enter and destroy the destiny I have for you.

Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. Genesis 4:4-5

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it. Genesis 4:7
