Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, sometimes I seem to give ridiculous instructions to my sons and daughters. My purpose? I want to know if their intellect and self-assurance is stronger than their obedience. I told Joshua, a skilled military leader, to walk around Jericho 7 times while blowing a trumpet. I told Naaman, a powerful nobleman, to go wash in a lake to heal his leprosy. I told Peter, an experienced fisherman, to throw his net on the other side to catch fish. I told Moses, the man I often met with face to face, to speak to a rock. I told Noah to build a huge boat on land with no water in sight. Breakthroughs do not come through your intellect; they come through obedience. Your obedience activates my authority. You are learning this. Teach others to walk in full and trusting obedience to me.

You are my portion, O Lord; I have said that I would keep Your words. Psalms 119:57

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12
