Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, when you walk through a season of pain and disappointment, I want you to enter that pain with me. Do not attempt to deaden the ache through some pleasurable thing. That is a mistake many of my sons and daughters make. It will prevent you from receiving the fruit designed to come from the experience. Entering the pain is the only way to discover the center of your soul where you truly desire me. This is the only way to discover your capacity to desire me more. Remember this truth son: people who insist on happiness never find real joy because what they seek is an imposter to real joy. Joy is found in the hidden place with me. Life can never exist for the goal of satisfying desires in competition with the desire to know me. Sometimes I have to remove happiness for you to find a contentment that is far richer. Broken dreams can be a prelude to a joyfulness few ever experience. You are on this journey, son. Embrace the pain that my joy might be revealed in you.
