Listening to the Father’s Heart

Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, I want to explain the covenant promise I have made to you and my other sons and daughters. One thing you should know is the difference between a covenant and a contract. Covenant means I will fulfill my part no matter what you do. When I said I would never leave you nor forsake you, I meant it. There is nothing you can do that will make me leave or forsake you. I always love even in the face of unfaithfulness. This is what I have called you to model in your life during this season. You are called to represent my nature and to feel my broken heart by what you are walking through. Few of my sons are willing to accept such an assignment because of the cost, the pain and the sacrifice. But I have called you to this and I am giving you the grace to walk in this place.

And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments.” Daniel 9:4

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
