Listening to the Father’s Heart

Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, sometimes I take my sons into a time of isolation like I have done with you. It is here I turn messes into messages and develop my greatest messengers. The cave is often a place to process your pain and a place to receive a message from me for your life and for others. Many a son has been placed in a similar cave, resulting in divine revelations that have benefited my people. My son Daniel learned, “He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him” (Dan 2:22). My son Isaiah explains how I reveal secret things in hidden places from times of hiddenness: “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel” (Isa 45:3). My son Elijah was in a place of defeat and discouragement after his great victory over the prophets of Baal. He fIed to a cave. “And then he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’” (1 Kings 19:9). I have used seasons of isolation to speak to my sons and daughters in the darkest of times. So too, I am doing that with you.

He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings the shadow of death to light. Job 12:22
