Listening to the Father’s Heart

Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, real strength comes in weakness. I know you get tired of hearing that. You feel like this is where you live most of your time. You look around and see people who appear to be happy. But you are looking at what you think you don’t have, rather than at what you do have. You do have Me. The truth is, your life is better than 95% of the people out there. Yes, you have had significant losses in your life. But it is not over. There will be a truly happy time in your life again. I turn the Valley of Achor into a door of hope and the springs of Baca into places of sweet water for your soul (Hosea 2:15). This season is accomplishing something in you that you don’t easily recognize, but others have told you they see it. Your heart is changing. Perseverance is growing. Patience and trust is allowing you to wait on me. These traits are not created overnight. You ARE becoming more like my Son. That should be your measurement, not whether your circumstances are perfect or without pain. More Christlikeness is the only real measurement worth using in your earthly life.

As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring. The rain also covers it with pools. Psalm 84: 6

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
