Listening to the Father’s Heart
Son, do you remember the time you were flying over my vast ocean and I told you that your life was like pouring a drop of water from your window into the ocean below? That is what your life is like on earth compared to eternity. It is a mere spec of time. Yes, your life IS important while you are on earth. But I want you to realize what it is compared to eternity. That is why I encourage you not to be overly concerned with what takes place on earth. What you do on earth is vital to who and what will be in heaven from your life work. But, remember, it is a very short life on earth measured against eternity with me and my son. This is why I encourage my sons and daughters to seek me first in all things. I am the only one that can satisfy your life on earth. Remember, you are merely a visitor with a brief stop on earth to reveal my glory to those you share your life with. Soon you will be with me forever.
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials. 1 Peter 1:6
