Listening To The Father’s Heart
Son, I made you to be in relationship with others, just as I am in relationship with my Son and the Holy Spirit. Close relationships allow you to be protected from wrong thinking and wrong decisions. These relationships are designed to complete you, not limit you. Many choose independence because of their own fear and insecurity. They fear close relationships because they think others will limit them. On the contrary, living in covenant with others protects you from your own deceit, and keeps you on my path. You will be more effective when you walk with others. “Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you”(Lev 26:8). I have given these relationships for your benefit. Value them as a gift and source of wisdom for you.
For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety. Proverbs 24:6
