Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, I want you to understand that shame is a tool the enemy of your soul uses to keep you in a place of defeat. Shame wants you to believe that you are a failure because you failed. In contrast, guilt is my Holy Spirit telling you that you have done something wrong. Yes, you may have failed, but YOU are not a failure. Know that I love you in all circumstances. Nothing changes my love for you. The enemy wants you to think that your mistakes change my view of you. Son, know that I am always thinking of what you are becoming, not what you have not become. I want you to filter what comes into your mind. Remember what my son James said? “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. 1 Corinthians 4:14

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Phil 4:8
