Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, do you recall my sons Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego? They were so faithful to me that they were willing to die rather than deny my presence in their lives. They made a choice in advance that I would desire for each of my kids to make. They knew before the temptation ever came what they would do. They had already drawn the line in the sand. They would not deny me even if it meant death, so they were bound and thrown into the fiery furnace. I brought glory to myself to honor their faithfulness and to demonstrate my power to that king. I entered the pit with my sons, and I removed their chains. They were free to walk in the midst of the fire with me. Sometimes it takes the fire of adversity to remove the chains that bind you.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:24, 25
