Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, I know waiting can be your greatest trial. I assure you that your perfect timetable is in my hands (Ps 31:15). Can you trust me? I know the hour. It is not time. There are things I am doing that need more time in order to be accomplished. Many of my sons were required to wait. My purposes are refined in the heart when there are times of extended solitude. You are waiting for my best; be still and alert to all I want to give you both in this season of your life and at a future appointed time. Abraham had to wait for Isaac. Moses had to wait in the desert. Joseph had to wait in prison. David had to wait for his deliverance from Saul. Taking shortcuts makes my perfect plan imperfect. My glory is sacrificed when you move ahead of my timing. Compromise leads to deceit. Listen to the words of one who learned the art of waiting and be encouraged, son: “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise (Heb 10:35-36).

Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Micah 7:7

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning—Yes, more than those who watch for the morning. Psalms 130:5-6

Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Proverbs 8:34
