Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, you are living among a people who have become hard of hearing. They have been disobedient, causing their ability to hear and see me to be darkened. I made your nation prosperous and great, but many have forgotten the source of that prosperity. They remind me of my sons of old who failed to honor me. I explained to them the consequences of wandering away from me: ““Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers” (Dt 8:1). “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish. As the nations which the Lord destroys before you, so you shall perish, because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God” (Dt 8:18-20). Son, pray for your nation that they return to their first love lest I remove their light from among the nations (Rev 18:23).

And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: “Hearing, you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing, you will see and not perceive; for the hearts of this people have grown
dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.” But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. Matthew 13:14-16
