Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, today I want to teach you about intercession and warfare. Do yourecall the time when my son Moses had to confront the principalities over Egypt before the people could be freed? When I called him to the task, I told him I was going to perform miracles through his staff, the symbol of his vocation as a shepherd. It became his tool of authority. Pharaoh also had a staff which represented Satan and his principalities, while Moses’ staff represented his authority through me. I instructed him to lay it down in an act of obedience and humility. Immediately it turned into a snake, identifying it with sin and the principality. Pharaoh and his magicians also threw down their rods, but Moses’ staff consumed them all. Many years later, my Son Jesus would do the same. In his humility, he identified with sin, laid down his life and consumed every transgression that would ever be laid against my children. Son, here is what I want you to know. Your willingness to identify with the sin of others will allow you to defeat the works of darkness in them. You will defeat the principalities as you lay down your staff and humbly allow me to operate through it. Your intercession for them breaks the stronghold holding them captive.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church. . Colossians 1:24
