Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, life can be hard. Over the years, recurring enemy assaults have led you to erect and reinforce walls around your heart to insulate you in hopes of protecting yourself from future hurt. This is bad for both of us. It always leads to independence from me and from those around you because you think no one is there to protect your heart but you. You become calloused to my work in you and hardened to those close by. You become a poser, living for other’s perception and acceptance. You start “performing” for others. Son, I want to restore you. As you seek me and yield those places that have become places of hurt, I promise I will mend your heart. I have already begun this process. All you must do is invite me into the places where the wounds need my touch. I am the Great Heart Surgeon.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:26-28
