Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, when you were a child, your father held your hand when you crossed the road and when you stood in the ocean to keep the waves from knocking you down. He was your security, letting you know he was there and that if you lost your balance, you would not fall because his hand would lift you up. He gave you the support you needed. In the same way, son, I am that hand in your life. There are times when I have had to lift you up through the waves of crisis, the waves of discouragement, and even the onslaught of the enemy’s schemes against you. Lift your hand toward me and I will always grab it to see you through. I truly am your shield in this life; not a shield to prevent hardship, but a shield to prevent the enemy from destroying your life and to support you through the times of crisis.

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’
