Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, I want you to understand the great sacrifice that was necessary for you to have a relationship with me. Before my Son came to earth, my priests had to prepare and kill a spotless animal, spreading its blood on the altar of my tabernacle. This sacrifice was performed once a year on behalf of my people (Heb 9:7). But when I sent my Son to earth to die for the sins of my sons and daughters, the tabernacle sacrifice was no longer needed. My Son became the permanent payment for your sins. He became the tabernacle, but he also came to dwell inside of you, making you my tabernacle. His abiding presence is now in your body, which is the temple of my Holy Spirit. My son Paul explained this mystery when he said, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (1 Cor. 6:19). So, today, I want to remind you of this sacrifice done on your behalf and I want to remind you that you are a living, breathing, walking tabernacle where my presence resides at all times.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
