Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, when you were very young and just learning to walk, you bumped into things and you broke a few of your mom’s nick-nacks. She knew this was to be expected. Your parents loved you and embraced this process. I also embrace this process in you, son. There are places where you have fallen, but I expected it. Failure is a necessary part of growth and maturity. There are no surprises with me. I love you just as much when you fall as when you succeed. I never want you to be on a performance treadmill in our relationship. You and I will experience deep intimacy as long as you simply yield your heart to me. That is my only requirement of you. When you fail, all you must do is come to me. I will restore you immediately. If you do this you can expect me to guide you continually.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalms 37:23-24

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9
