Listening to the Father’s Heart

Listening to the Father’s Heart

Son, it is not up to you to fulfill the purposes I have for your life. The minute you try to help me is the minute I take my hands off your life. I do need your participation, but there is a place where you hinder my work. The best way to describe how our partnership should work is like driving a car. Think of me as your GPS voice. You are driving the car but you do only that which I instruct. Do you remember driving in that foreign country and the language was different? You felt very vulnerable until you realized your GPS knew right where to go. You were forced to trust your GPS. The minute you turned off the device and operated on your own, you got into trouble. You got lost in a matter of minutes. Trust your destiny and time into my hands. Together, we will fulfill every purpose I created you to fulfill, and in my perfect timing.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. . . . And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6 -7, 19
