Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, under the old covenant, many received my wrath because the law exposed their sin and required judgment. I know you struggle with those judgments, but I am a holy and righteous Father. The law I gave was necessary to show my sons and daughters that they could never fulfill it on their own. The purpose of the law was to reveal their sin and their need for a savior. In due time, when my Son came to earth, everything changed. Through his death, I made a way for you to escape judgment and condemnation. Sin always requires the sacrifice of life. Prior to the cross, animals were sacrificed on behalf of the people to demonstrate the blood price for sin. You can never earn righteousness through your works or good deeds. Your righteousness is only through the blood of my Son’s death on the cross. You simply need to confess your sins to me. I will restore you immediately. “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom 5:1).

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Galatians 3:24, 25

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
