Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, my word is my covenant. I never violate my word. You have learned that covenant is faithfulness in the face of unfaithfulness. To walk that out, one must willingly place “self” on the cross and live instead to benefit me and those you are called to love and stand in the gap for (Ezek 22:30). This follows my example of standing in covenant relationship. When I made the covenant with my son Abraham, circumcision was to be a forever visible sign between me and the generations to follow. It was a sacred symbol of my covenant, and later when Moses failed to circumcise his son, I was ready to abandon my mission through him and choose another.

There are some things that are not negotiable (Ex 4:24). Moses was in jeopardy of losing his life. I deal harshly when an issue surrounded with such sacredness is not honored. My glory must not be tarnished with disregard for my directives. I also made a covenant with my son David. “I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to my servant David: ‘Your seed I will establish forever, and build up your throne to all generations’” (Ps 89:3-4). So you see my son, when I make a covenant I am faithful to the very end. I want you to help others understand this about my nature as a covenant keeper.

Mercy shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.
Psalms 89:2

My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. Psalms 89:34
