Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, be careful not to despise your birthright in me. Do you remember my son Esau? I had such great plans for him. However, he decided that his worldly passions were of greater value than the destiny I planned for him. I could have made him a great nation, but in a matter of a few moments he decided his birthright was of no value and sold it to his brother for a few morsels of food. My heart ached for him. He never achieved my purpose for his life after making that choice. So many of my children go the way of Esau. They choose lifestyle, money, or relationships that hinder their ultimate destiny with me. You have chosen well, my son. I want you to continue to choose me above all else.

…lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. Hebrews 12:16

Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD, They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. Prov 1:28-30
