Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, each morning you and I meet and enjoy these times of fellowship. You never know what you are going to write until I put something in your heart. Do not fret that there may not be anything to record because I am faithful to you. I give you what I want you to write and I give you what others need. Today I have led you to a verse that confirms the way I work in and through you. Each of my kids is different. I made some to be salesmen, some to be teachers, some to be politicians, some to be business owners and some to be writers–all to express my life through their callings. I made you to be a writer, though you never imagined such because this is not a natural gift for you. It birthed only out of a crisis and out of our relationship. This happens a lot with my sons and daughters. Crisis is often the front door to the larger calling.
The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning, He awakens my ear to hear as the learned. Isaiah 50:4
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8
