Listening To The Father’s Heart
Son, I did not design the journey of faith to be complicated. My simple desire for you is that you grow in intimacy with me as your Father and walk in humble reliance upon me. Mercy and love are two major qualities that many do not understand about me (Ps 59:17). I avoid disciplining you unless I see you going in a direction that will be harmful to you. Just think of the most loving, merciful earthly father you have ever encountered. Multiply that by a thousand times and you will begin to grasp something of my true nature towards you. My nature is to rejoice in you always. I love you, son.
