Listening to the Father’s Heart
Son, do you realize that I am your greatest cheerleader? Sometimes you beat yourself up because you fall short. Hey, no one is perfect. Only my son made the “A” plan. You and the rest of my sons and daughters must realize I make your “B” and “C” plans my “A” plan. Remember, I am the great redeemer. I make even the worst situations turn out for my glory when you yield yourself to my purposes (Rom. 8:28). When you yield your purposes and plans to me I order your steps. I uphold you with my own hand. I truly delight in you! So, stop beating yourself up, because I don’t focus on your shortcomings. My focus is on what I see you are becoming. You are becoming more like my son every day. I am helping you do that.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand. Ps 37:23, 24
