Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, it is true that I am a God of free will; I never require my children to love me. They must choose to love me. I do not want robots; I want sons and daughters who have a relationship with me. However, know that I do respond to prayers on behalf of wayward sons and daughters. I have ways to “encourage” their obedience. Remember Paul and his blinding on the road to Damascus? Or Jonah, and his three day experience in the belly of my whale? Or, how about Gomer? I penned her in so that she would return to Hosea (Hos 2:6). You must keep praying on behalf of those who are wayward. You are the catalyst for moving my hand on their behalf. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (Ja 5:16).

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36

Now it happened, as I journeyed and came near Damascus at about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me. Acts 22:6

Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:17
