Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, I want you to know that there are seasons in your relationship with me. In the spring and summer of our “first love,” I revealed myself to you in often dramatic ways. My presence was undeniable in your circumstances. But after a time, I took you into autumn where I removed some things in your life that you were placing too much trust in. And remember that winter season, when you felt alone? That was when I isolated you and took you aside to speak tenderly to you, allowing the shallow things of your life to die (Hosea 2:14). I took you to a deeper level of relationship with me there. Each season is important for you to know me intimately. As the cycle of seasons is my gift to the earth, so are the seasons I take my sons and daughters through as they journey with me.

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword;In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and made Me a polished shaft;In His quiver He has hidden Me.” Isa 49:2
