Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, sometimes faith really is blind. You have only my Spirit to guide you, and no clear picture of what’s ahead. Do you remember that wilderness training you went through in your twenties? You were blindfolded and dropped off in the middle of the canyon lands. All you had was a map and a compass to lead you on to the next map. That required a lot of faith and courage on your part. Son, my Spirit is your lifetime compass. I lead all my sons and daughters in the way they should walk. Having faith in a promise means you hope for and plan to receive it, though you have no idea how it will come about. And you demonstrate that faith tangibly by the actions you take. Faith sometimes requires placing your foot ahead of you, not knowing if there will be anything to step onto.

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. Ps 143:8

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8
