Listening To The Father’s Heart

Listening To The Father’s Heart

Son, sometimes obedience is costly for my followers. I may ask you to walk a narrow path laden with pitfalls before the light can break through. My Son’s obedience cost him his life, and in time each of his disciples paid the same price. When you follow me there is a cost. My son Moses was persecuted by Pharaoh and his own people because his obedience to me actually brought greater hardship on them. When you obey me, the consequences can be great before the breakthrough comes. Some have been disowned by their families. The way of the cross is different for each person, but it is required for each of my sons and daughters who want to fully identify with me and see my glory manifested. Remember this, my son – when I give you the cross, it is so I can give you me.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24

.. . but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. I Peter 4:13, 16
